WHOLE ARMENIAN COMMUNITIES WERE TORN APART.

Across the Ottoman Empire, Armenian towns and villages were emptied. Men were arrested and killed. Women, children, and the elderly were driven into deportation columns and death marches. Families were separated; homes, churches, schools, and neighborhoods were stripped of people who had lived there for generations.
